Clinic Policies
Clear, transparent policies allow us to focus our time and resources on your care rather than administrative tasks.
If you have a valid BC Health Card, eligible medically necessary services will be billed directly to the Medical Services Plan (MSP), and you will not be charged for those visits.
For services not covered by MSP, including uninsured or fee-for-service appointments, payment is due at the time of service. We collect all applicable fees upfront to allow our small practice to focus on providing high-quality patient care rather than managing billing follow-up.
When you miss an appointment it limits our accessibility to other patients. We charge $110 for each missed medical appointment. The best way to avoid this is to call or email us at least 24 business hours in advance to reschedule or cancel.
If you miss your appointment or arrive late enough that there is not sufficient time to complete your scheduled visit, it may be considered a missed appointment. Missed appointments reduce access for other patients and disrupt the clinic schedule.
We understand that unexpected delays can happen, and if you are only slightly late, we will do our best to fit you into the schedule whenever possible. However, if your late arrival significantly impacts the schedule, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
To avoid a missed appointment, please call or email us at least 24 business hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. A no-show or late cancellation fee may apply according to our clinic policy.
We require the presence of a guardian for all new patient visits and procedural visits. Follow-up visits do not require the presence of a guardian if we have your permission documented in your child's chart.

Most medically necessary physician services are covered under BC’s Medical Services Plan (MSP). Some services, such as medical forms, cosmetic procedures, travel consultations, and certain letters or reports, are not covered and may require payment.
Yes, prescription renewals generally require an assessment by your physician to ensure they remain safe and appropriate. Please contact the clinic to determine whether an appointment is needed.
